BOCA RATON — Reoccurring back injuries have prevented Florida Atlantic wide receiver John Mitchell from catching a pass in nearly two years.
With six games left this season, the redshirt sophomore – who missed all of last season with a herniated disk and last played on Nov. 26, 2016 – is ready to provide FAU’s passing game with a much-needed spark.
“Sometimes I thought to myself, ‘Why me? Why not somebody else?'” Mitchell said. “But when it was all over, when I felt healthy enough, definitely, I felt it was motivation. Now it’s time to prove that I’m not just somebody that came here and you never heard about again.
