BOCA RATON — Steve LaMantia and his officiating crew shouldn’t expect to be on Lane Kiffin’s Christmas list later this year.
Days after LaMantia’s crew had several controversial calls in Florida Atlantic’s 25-24 loss to Middle Tennessee, Kiffin blasted the officials in his Wednesday press conference with reporters.
“It’s unfortunate when, just as coaches have bad games, when officials have bad games and you don’t know what they’re doing,” Kiffin said. “It’s a shame.”
The most controversial play from Saturday’s game was what appeared to be a 3rd down run by FAU quarterback Chris Robison which gave the Owls a late first down.
