BOCA RATON — No stranger to the AP Top 25 Polls, Lane Kiffin isn’t losing sleep that his Florida Atlantic Owls will begin the 2018 season unranked.
“I think it’s great,” Kiffin said. “It’s just less articles, less things about how good these players are (reasons) for them to think that.”
FAU received 38 votes for the AP Poll and finished 30th, South Carolina (96 votes), Florida (68) Utah (60), and Oklahoma State (51). This was the first time FAU, which went 11-3 last season and won both the Conference USA Championship and the Boca Raton Bowl, received votes in the Preseason Top 25.
