BOCA RATON — Over seven months after undergoing Tommy John surgery, Florida Atlantic linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair finally feels like his old self.
“Honestly, it almost feels like it’s never been injured,” said Al-Shaair, who turned 21 on Saturday. “It really feels great. I was comparing it from (how it felt) last year in the games, playing with the elbow brace while it was hurt, I mean it was bothering me a lot. Now, after the surgery and everything with the same brace on, I felt fine.”
