BOCA RATON — For a second, all was back to normal for Florida Atlantic running back Devin Singletary.
Late in Saturday’s 33-27 win over Air Force, Singletary – who, aside from a 36-yard touchdown in the 2nd quarter, had mostly been bottled up against the Falcons – found an open hole and sprinted 75 yards for his second score of the day. FAU (1-1) was up 39-20 with just over five minutes remaining and, thanks to the reigning Conference USA MVP, had seemingly clinched a hard-fought win against a tough Air Force team.
Then, Singletary noticed the flag.
