Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin was already noncommittal in naming a starting quarterback against Western Kentucky following De’Andre Johnson’s uplifting performance against FIU in a 49-14 win over the Owls’ Shula Bowl rivals in Miami.
Kiffin would not say much on Sunday in explaining what his team’s quarterback situation would be like this week or how first-team reps will be divvied up in practice ahead of homecoming against the Hilltoppers on Saturday.
“I don’t know that,” he said in a weekly teleconference with reporters. “We’re in the fourth quarter of the season, so our Monday practice is just a walkthrough.
