BOCA RATON — It hasn’t taken long for new Florida Atlantic defensive tackle Noah Jefferson to earn heavy praise from head coach Lane Kiffin.
“He’s got a lot of potential and it’s never come all together,” Kiffin said of Jefferson, a former four-star recruit who joined the Owls this week. “You see him walk through the door and he looks like a 10-year NFL vet.”
The NFL comparison makes sense given Jefferson’s father, Ben, started four games with the Cleveland Browns in 1990 before spending two years in the CFL. A former four-star recruit from Nevada, the younger Jefferson spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons at USC – where Kiffin was previously both an offensive coordinator and head coach – before transferring to Arizona Western for the 2017 season.
