BOCA RATON — Florida Atlantic guard BJ Etienne didn’t feel too nervous about making his college debut against the then-No. 7 ranked Oklahoma Sooners earlier this month.
By this point, Etienne is no stranger to big games. It was only two years ago when Etienne, in his lone season at Fort Lauderdale powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas, faced a similar situation out west.
“We traveled and played like a real big game in (Las Vegas) against No. 1 Bishop Gorman,” said Etienne, a former two-star recruit. “And that was kinda like that same vibe going into Norman. Traveling on the plane week one had kinda had that same vibe.
