BOCA RATON — When Tulane center Junior Diaz made himself available as a graduate transfer in college football’s version of the free agent market, finding a winning program where he could start on day one was an obvious priority.
In signing with Florida Atlantic, Diaz — who played high school football at Miami Central — was able to also ensure he’d give his loved ones a chance to watch him one last time.
“The biggest thing for me was being able to play in front of my family for my last year,” Diaz said. “That was important to me.
