FAU’s quarterback room got a lot more interesting.
Former FSU quarterback Deondre Francois is transferring to FAU as a walk-on graduate transfer, as first reported by 247Sports. Since he’s already graduated from FSU, Francois will be immediately eligible to play for the Owls.
Francois, a former four-star high school recruit, had a promising start to his college career but his play faded after that. He threw 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions as a freshman, completing 58.8 percent of his passes.
But the following year Francois suffered a season-ending knee injury in FSU’s Week 1 matchup against Alabama.
