BOCA RATON — It hasn’t taken long for Junior Diaz to realize an early benefit of playing at Florida Atlantic.
“My dad, we’ve had three practices and he’s been there for all three,” said Diaz, a center who previously won two state championships at Miami Central. “That’s one of the main reasons I came here. It’s awesome.”
Diaz, 22, transferred to FAU as a graduate student from Tulane this offseason and began training camp as the starting center. A two-year starter with the Green Wave, Diaz is one of several transfers who have an opportunity to help FAU’s offensive line this fall.
