The Florida Atlantic backfield won’t be crowded as expected this season.
According to a report in the Morganton News-Herald in West Virginia, former Alabama running back B.J. Emmons will not play for the Owls. The newspaper said Emmons is taking a year off from football but has hopes of playing at FAU next season.
Emmons played one season at Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College, where he rushed for 694 yards and 10 touchdowns. Coming out of high school, he was rated as the nation’s No. 5 running back by ESPN.
