Even though the Florida Atlantic athletic programs compete in Conference USA, it doesn’t mean the facilities can’t rival those in Power Five leagues.
With a $40-million upgrade slated to be completed in 2019, the Owls feel it will put them on pace to keep pace with schools from larger conferences. According to a statement released by the school, “the project continues to expand as interest continues to grow.”
“I think it will be competitive with any facility in the country, regardless of the level,” FAU athletic director Brian White said. “It will look like a Power Five facility.
