Florida Atlantic running back Kerrith Whyte working on becoming more versatile

With Florida Atlantic running back Devin “Motor” Singletary set as the starter, backup Kerrith Whyte is searching for other ways to get on the field.

His spring has been geared toward improving his versatility so he can impact the game in a variety of forms.

“Just not being one-dimensional and doing multiple things on the field,” Whyte said. “I need to find ways to be versatile to be on the field and help the team.”

Last year Whyte was limited in how he could help the Owls. He was used mostly on third downs and special teams.
