BOCA RATON — Devin Singletary has long accepted that even the best athletes can see their careers end with one catastrophic injury or moment gone wrong.
While Florida Atlantic’s all-time leading rusher is healthy, Singletary said the recent career-ending neck injuries to Miami wide receiver and former Wellington standout Ahmmon Richards and defensive back Malek Young – who, like Singletary, hails from Broward County – have both hit home.
“Every day, before I go out on the field, I’m thankful,” Singletary said. “I’m giving thanks ’cause I know it can be taken at any time just like that.
