BOCA RATON — Florida Atlantic quarterback Rafe Peavey rightfully wants to see the field in his final year of eligibility.
The only problem for Peavey, a former four-star recruit who transferred to FAU last month from Southern Methodist, is he’s currently backing up redshirt freshman Chris Robison after losing a three-way competition for the starting job.
“It’s obviously frustrating,” Peavey said. “I came here to be the guy and stuff like that, but at the same time, I support their decision. Whatever (decision) they make, whatever is best for the team. I’ll just make sure I’m doing my part to stay ready whenever that is.
