BOCA RATON — Less than two weeks before training camp, the Florida Atlantic Owls have received some late help for one of their biggest holes.
Former Florida Gators guard Antonio Riles, who started six games from 2014-17 while in Gainesville, has officially joined the Owls as a graduate transfer and is immediately eligible to play. Riles was granted a sixth-year of eligibility earlier this year and, like former “Last Chance U” star John Franklin III and Pittsburgh defensive tackle Jeremiah Taleni before him, will spend his final collegiate season in Boca Raton.
A three-star member of the Gators’ 2013 recruiting class from Georgia, Riles played in 19 games with the Gators, making six starts during the 2015 season.
