Florida Atlantic defense allows season-low 469 yards in loss to FIU

Florida Atlantic's defense gave up 469 yards during Saturday's 33-31 loss to Florida International. It was the smallest output of the season for an Owls opponent.

The 469 yards (270 rushing and 199 passing) were barely fewer than the 470 yards Miami totaled during the season's second game. FAU (1-4) is now allowing 490.4 yards per game.

FIU entered as one of the worst offenses in college football, ranking last in scoring offense (13.5 points per game) and 103rd in total offense (301.8 yards per game) in the Football Bowl Subdivision. The Panthers scored six touchdowns in their first four games.
