Florida Atlantic coach Charlie Partridge knew he would have to wait. He knew he would have to be patient. He knew it would take time to transform FAU's football program when he accepted the job in December 2013.
But in the third season of Partridge's reign atop FAU's program, the Owls are just 7-25 with four games remaining this season. FAU (1-7, 0-4 Conference USA) travels to Rice (1-7, 0-5) this weekend seeking to snap a seven-game losing streak.
On Saturday, FAU suffered its worst home loss in program history, a 52-3 drubbing by Western Kentucky, which totaled 661 yards on offense, the third-most against FAU all-time.
