Florida Atlantic's season opener against Southern Illinois is still 24 weeks away, however, with Spring Drills kicking off this week for the Owls football team, head coach Charlie Partridge is excited.
"It's been a great offseason. We played a lot of young guys last year, so to now see the new freshman after they've had a chance to develop," Partridge said, "that's fun for us to see."
One major change in the offseason was the hiring of Travis Trickett as Florida Atlantic's new offensive coordinator.
"We're focused on our new offensive coordinator and installing his offense," said Partridge.
