On Wednesday afternoon, Florida Atlantic selected DPR Construction as its construction management company for the Schmidt Family Complex for Athletic & Academic Excellence. The selection is technically a suggestion to FAU president John Kelly, but is typically accepted.
DPR beat out Stiles, Turner Construction Company and Balfour Beatty Construction. DPR is involved with the Clemson football program's new facility set to open next month. Balfour Beatty previously built FAU Stadium.
The school previously selected an architectural firm — HKS Architects — on Nov. 1.
