Florida Atlantic coach Charlie Partridge announced Monday that redshirt freshman offensive lineman Tarrick Thomas would miss the rest of the season. Partridge did not disclose the injury, citing privacy laws.
Thomas started the first four games of the season at left guard before exiting in the first quarter of Saturday's 31-27 loss to Ball State. He did not return to the game and was spotted on the sidelines using crutches.
Redshirt freshman Jack Breshears filled in for Thomas for the remainder of the game.
Thomas' injury is the latest in a string of injuries along the offensive line.
