FAU hoping Williams, secondary's success carries over against Kansas State

On Florida Atlantic's first defensive possession of Saturday's loss to Miami, cornerback Raekwon Williams got beat down the middle for a 46-yard gain. Two days later, Owls coach Charlie Partridge compared him to an animated fish.

"He got beat on the one long pass and didn't think about it. He had Dory-like memory and moved on to the next one," said Partridge, referencing the forgetful fish from "Finding Nemo."

Williams rebounded from that one play to record a solid day in the Owls' secondary, posting three tackles and one pass breakup. He also recovered a blocked field goal attempt and helped limit Miami's potent passing attack to just 191 yards in the air.
