Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin will be the next football coach at Florida Atlantic, according to multiple reports on Monday morning.
ESPN and Fox Sports each reported Kiffin, who has spent the last three seasons at Alabama, will succeed Charlie Partridge, who was fired after three consecutive 3-9 seasons with FAU. Fox Sports reported the deal was a five-year contract.
FAU would be Kiffin’s fourth head coaching stop, following tenures with the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee and USC. It was first reported on Friday that FAU was pursuing Kiffin, but talks reportedly broke down late into the night.
