The Florida Atlantic Owls (5-6, 3-4 C-USA) lost 52-17 to the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (7-4, 5-1 C-USA) in a blowout that marked the Owls’ third straight loss, making them 1-5 on the road this season. The loss was a disappointing return to his Alma Mater for head coach Willie Taggart, where he was a record-setting quarterback and began his head coaching career in 2010.
“We got to be better as coaches,“ said Taggart postgame. “We got to make sure we got the guys in there that can help us get the job done, whether that’s freshman or not.
