BOCA RATON — On the eve of his senior season, Florida Atlantic defensive end Hunter Snyder finds himself ranked among the best defensive linemen in the country.
Snyder, 23, was named to the Ted Hendricks Award watch list on Monday. The award, which is named after the first three-time first-team All-American, honors the top defensive end in college football.
A redshirt senior and one of the few remaining Owls from Charlie Partridge’s first season in 2014, Snyder tied for the team lead with six sacks last year and has 12 over the past three seasons. Snyder finished last year with eight tackles for loss, four of which came in the season’s final three games.
