BOCA RATON — Despite a new coaching staff and a new defensive scheme, Florida Atlantic cornerback Chris Tooley took a much-needed growth between his freshman and sophomore seasons in 2017.
With year two in the books and FAU coming off its first winning season since 2008, Tooley can focus on taking the even greater jump which comes between a player’s sophomore and junior seasons.
“I’m starting to watch more film to take my game to another level,” Tooley said. “(I want) to be more focused. … I just feel like there must be a change (because) when you’re coming from last year to this year, a lot has to be different.
