Florida Atlantic’s football game Saturday afternoon against Charlotte (3:30 p.m. at FAU Stadium) has not been altered as the university monitors the development of Hurricane Matthew.
According to a FAU spokesperson, the school is taking a wait-and-see approach and will adjust its plans as needed. Athletic director Pat Chun is scheduled to discuss plans for this weekend on Wednesday.
A hurricane watch was issued for Palm Beach County on Tuesday morning. When a hurricane warning is issued by the National Weather Service, FAU president John Kelly or a designee may authorize the school to close, according to FAU’s Department of Emergency Management.
