BOCA RATON — With the release of the first major preseason poll, Florida Atlantic is still waiting to be ranked at the FBS level.
After going 11-3 in Lane Kiffin’s first season as head coach, FAU enters the 2018 season unranked in USA Today’s Amway Coaches Poll, but they did receive 27 votes. The poll is made up of 65 FBS coaches, though the list – which was released on Thursday afternoon – does not include Kiffin.
Ending the year on a ten-game winning streak, FAU received votes in both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll last season, but never were among the Top 25 teams which made the cut.
