BOCA RATON — There aren’t many occasions that call for Florida Atlantic offensive lineman Brandon Walton, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 300 pounds, to jump in the air.
Seeing former FAU teammate Greg Joseph, now kicking for the Cleveland Browns, hit a game-winning field goal in overtime on Sunday afternoon was, rightfully, one of those times.
“I was excited, man,” said Walton, the Owls’ starting right tackle. “I saw it on Twitter and just started jumping. I’m so happy for Greg.”
FAU’s all-time leader in field goals and extra points, Joseph signed with the Cleveland Browns last month to replace Zane Gonzalez, who missed five of his first ten kicks.
