BOCA RATON — Florida Atlantic cornerback Chris Tooley has a message for opposing quarterbacks: if they thought FAU’s defense was intimidating last year, the unit is going to be downright frightening in 2018.
“I’m starting to watch more film to take my game to another level,” Tooley said. “(I want) to be more focused. … I just feel like there must be a change (because) when you’re coming from last year to this year, a lot has to be different.”
Even if the Owls’ secondary doesn’t do much different, they’re still among the best defensive back groups in Conference USA.
