BOCA RATON — With his second rushing touchdown on Saturday night, Florida Atlantic running back Devin Singletary passed former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow for the most rushing touchdowns by any player who attended a Florida FBS school.
A true junior from Deerfield Beach, Singletary (American Heritage) scored a 44-yard touchdown late in the 4th quarter against Old Dominion. Not only was the touchdown Singletary’s 14th rushing touchdown of the season, but it was his 58th career touchdown, moving him past San Diego State’s Marshall Faulk (1991-93), Oklahoma’s Steve Owens (1967-69), and Tebow, who all ran for 57 touchdowns at the FBS level.
