Brandon Walton, Reggie Bain remain steady offensive tackles for FAU amid changing offensive line

BOCA RATON — The bad news for Lane Kiffin’s Florida Atlantic Owls is the team will go into 2018 with three new starting offensive linemen. The good news, as basic math dictates, is three does not equal five.

While starting guards Jakobi Smith and Roman Fernandez and center Antonyo Woods – the latter two having also played locally at Seminole Ridge – have all graduated, right tackle Brandon Walton and left tackle Reggie Bain will return for their junior and senior years, respectively. Bain joined Fernandez and Woods in being named to the All-Conference USA first-team last season, while Walton won the starting right tackle job in training camp and emerged as a capable starter throughout the season.
