Through the first month of Florida Atlantic's season, defensive coordinator Roc Bellantoni individually highlighted his unit's tackling, its gap integrity and its angles to the football as reasons why the Owls defense has struggled.
After FAU's most recent loss, a 33-31 setback to Florida International, Bellantoni's explanation was all-inclusive.
"We've got to be better at everything: tackling, rushing the passer, holding our gaps, covering our man," Bellantoni said Tuesday. "We have to be better at everything."
