FAU baseball remains alive in the C-USA tournament following an 8-6 win over Louisiana Tech Friday night.
After trailing 4-1 after 3.5 innings No.3 FAU (38-16-1) outscored the Bulldogs 6-2 the rest of the game.
No.2 Louisiana Tech (39-20) is eliminated from the tournament and will have to wait to see if they can receive an at large bid to the College World Series
FAU starting pitcher Vince Coletti allowed just two hits in the first 1.2 innings but was pulled before the second after allowing three runs on three straight singles.
Facing its largest deficit of the tournament trailing by three, the Owls threatened to score in the bottom of the second with runners on second and third with no outs.
