AP All-American Devin Singletary could make more history for Florida Atlantic on Saturday

BOCA RATON — After shattering most of Florida Atlantic’s offensive records last season, junior running back Devin Singletary has an opportunity to make additional history this weekend.

Singletary, 21, enters Saturday’s home opener against Air Force (2 p.m., CBS Sports Network/Facebook) only 171 all-purpose yards away from becoming the Owls’ all-time leader in that category. Program icon and current San Francisco 49ers running back Alfred Morris, whose all-time rushing touchdowns record (27) was surpassed by Singletary (American Heritage) midway through last season, still holds the record with 3,838 yards.

Through his first 27 games at the FBS level, Singletary has 3,008 rushing yards, 374 receiving yards, and 284 yards on kick returns.
