Cancer robbed FAU baseball player Kevin Abraham of his smile.
The Stage IV Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma that originated in Abraham’s humerus had spread all over his body. To his spine, to his legs, to his jaw, the tumors handcuffed Abraham and rendered the Florida Atlantic catcher motionless and unable to even crack a smile.
About a year later, Abraham is past the days spent in a bed, filled with chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Instead, the 21-year-old Miami native has rejoined the Owls and is set to return to his position behind the plate for the 2017 baseball season.
