Officially, college football is back after several games were played in “week zero” this past weekend, but Florida Atlantic wasn’t among the teams beginning their 2018 season. For the first time since mid-December, FAU has now entered a game week, with the Owls’ season-opener at No. 7 Oklahoma on Saturday (noon, Fox) now only days away.
But while the Owls are preparing to repeat as Conference USA champions, the rest of the league is coming for FAU. After years of being among the conference’s worst programs, FAU enters 2018 as not only the best team in their league, but one of the top teams in the nation.
