After Zach Loyd started in both FC Dallas' preseason friendly matches, it was instead Walker Zimmerman at center back next to captain Matt Hedges, with Maynor Figueroa playing left back. Though Zimmerman hadn't been seeing as many preseason minutes as other options, he said he wasn't surprised to start.
