FRISCO -- FC Dallas had to wait to get started, but once the ball got rolling it had little trouble topping Minnesota United 2-0 on Saturday.
The win snapped a two-match losing streak and helped allay fears the Western Conference leaders would slip into a funk like the 10-match winless spell that doomed last season's playoff hopes. It also marked several milestones, with FCD coach Oscar Pareja notching his 100th MLS victory, the club winning its 200th home match in club history and the 200th MLS appearance for captain Matt Hedges.
"Our players made today a great night for the club, a very special night, but the most important is that they showed a lot of professionalism, a solid performance and put us three points closer to the objectives," Pareja said.
