In a long MLS campaign, not all wins will be as aesthetically pleasing as others. Sometimes you've just got to win ugly, as FC Dallas did against Portland last Wednesday and (less ugly than Wednesday's win) against Seattle Saturday night. And that's okay - fortunately the points count the same regardless of style. After those wicked three consecutive road losses that seemed straight out of May/June 2015, wins over Portland and Seattle were a welcome oasis for FC Dallas and its fans. The wins stopped the skid before things got critical - and eerily similar to last season - as it was exactly this time in 2015 that FCD began a six-game winless streak (3 losses, 3 draws), and was outscored 10-2 over that stretch.
