Kellyn Acosta's transfer to the Colorado Rapids happened at just the right time.
The U.S. national team member no longer felt comfortable with FC Dallas.
"I think in Dallas I wasn't enjoying soccer the way I wanted," Acosta told The Denver Post on Monday. "I think a change of premises will help. Change is hard, but it's a beneficial challenge for me."
Acosta was sent to Colorado on Sunday in exchange for Senegalese forward Dominique Badji, an international spot for 2018 and 2019 and the Rapids' first-round pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.
