Why FC Dallas isn't complaining about this season's World Cup call-ups

In 2017, FC Dallas was greatly hampered by international call-ups of its star players. By the time Kellyn Acosta and Jesse Gonzalez were called into the U.S. national team camp in November, the club was up to 34 call-ups for the year. Veteran players Matt Hedges, Tesho Akindele, Walker Zimmerman, Maynor Figueroa and Carlos Gruezo also missed time with their national teams, playing havoc with FC Dallas coach Oscar Pareja's lineups.

In 2018, things are a little different. With the U.S., Honduras, Canada and Ecuador all missing out on the World Cup, Pareja won't be missing any of his internationals during the next month and a half.
