FC Dallas is currently running a camp for players in college that are from the FC Dallas system. As part of the MLS Homegrown rules, FCD needs to give these kids a certain amount of training each year to maintain the potential Homegrown tag. All of these players are could, hypothetically, be Homegrown signings of the future like Jordan Cano, Kris Reaves, and Brandon Servania were this season.
While FCD has been doing this for a couple years, the staff tells me they have ramped up the camp a bit this year, making it more formalized. New Academy coach Michel Garbini Pereira (former FC Dallas player) who is working as an assistant to Peter Luccin and the U13s is running the college camp training.
