US U17 WNT win the Concacaf Championship as three DFW players make the final

The USA came from behind to defeat Mexico and lifted the Concacaf Women's U17 Championship at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, yesterday.

Three Dallas-area players had a chance of playing in the final as Mexico's Reyna Reyes (FC Dallas) started opposite Samantha Meza (Solar SC) for the US. FC Dallas' Diana Ordoñez was on the bench for the Americans.

While Reyes did complete the 90 minutes, Ordoñez did not make it off the bench and Meza's afternoon ended with an injury in the 7th minute. While turning to make a challenge on Natalia Mauleon, the Mexican winger evaded Meza as she went down clutching her hip.
