SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Maxi Urruti scored on a bicycle kick early in the second half, and FC Dallas beat the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 on Friday night.
FCD (11-5-4, 37 points) won its third straight game to remain atop the Western Conference with the best record in MLS. San Jose (5-6-7, 22 points) has gone seven games without a victory.
In the 51st minute, Michael Barrios ran down a chipped cross and played the ball in front of goal. After a failed clearance, Urruti put it into the net with an acrobatic finish.
FCD goalkeeper Chris Seitz ran his shutout streak to 315 minutes while posting his sixth shutout of the season.
