The 40th Anniversary Dallas Cup Super Group Semi-Finals took place on Friday evening at Toyota Stadium in Frisco and after two high-quality games, the Final is now set for Sunday at 3 pm between defending champs Tigres and Villarreal of Spain.
In the first Semi-Final, Rivals Monterrey and Tigres met in a match of two teams quite familiar with each other.
Tigres opened up the scoring in the 6th minute when Patrick Ogama cleaned up a loose ball in the six-yard box, putting the defending Super Group champions ahead 1-0. Rayados' Jose Alvarado answered with a goal of his own, curling the ball just inside the right post to level the game at 1-1.
