FC Dallas (50 points) battled 4th in the east Columbus Crew (44 points) on Saturday at Toyota Stadium to a 0-0 scoreless draw. I think even the most ardent FCD supporter would be hard pressed to call this one anything but a boring and lifeless defensive draw.
Both these teams are built to concede little (ranking 5th and 6th in goals allowed in MLS) by sitting deep, allowing possession, and counter-attacking. When two teams both want to sit and counter... neither can really counter. Which makes for a boring game.
This may have also been the last game between these two clubs that is ever played if the Crew do in fact more to Austin.
