FC Dallas winger/striker Tesho Akindele has been called into camp by Canada Soccer for an international friendly on March 24th against New Zealand. Akindele will leave after the FC Dallas match this weekend (March 18) against Seattle for the one week camp leading up to the friendly at Pinatar Arena in Murcia, Spain.
The match is Canada's first of the 2018 international season, one which will build towards a new cycle of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers on the road to Qatar in 2022.
"This match provides a great opportunity to be face to face with members of the Men's National Team Program and establish the foundations and relationships that will align Canada's Men's National Team Program towards a goal of consistent winning performances," said Herdman.
