The Dallas Sidekicks finished their season on uneven ground on the field, out of the playoffs again, but not without some new successes, and in the stands, they made some real strides. The questions that will need to be answered in the offseason are at least ones that have solutions. The issue will be how the organization decides to proceed as Michael Hitchcock and his ownership group goes into its first full off-season.
On the field, there were a number of positives despite another losing record. Nestor Hernandez had his best season since his knee injury a number of seasons back, and while it did not always show up on the score sheet, he was able to connect his teammates, and the fans especially appreciated seeing the return of his superhero partnership with Jamie Lovegrove, who himself finished the season on a high, scoring the last game of the season in celebration of his grandfather, Tony Lovegrove, who had recently passed.
